PURPOSE OF POSITION:

World Vision International (wvi.org), and its connected social media properties, represents the digital World Vision brand to our global, public-facing audience. wvi.org attracts nearly 200,000 total visitors each month, presenting micro sites for 60 individual NO countries and 61 WV ministry sectors. The Digital Web Producer's role is to ensure that the content across all areas of the site uses the best package of digital content solutions - social, mobile and online - to engage our external audiences effectively and inspire increased commitment to World Vision's mission, while, importantly, minimising the reputation risk from having hundreds of individual contributors engage external audiences directly on this global site.

The purpose of this position is to direct and lead a daily flow of compelling content on the wvi.org site, ensuring the content meets all standards and protocols for editorial quality, site engagement and governance. The digital web producer will be an innovator who pushes for new website features and functionality to meet the changing needs of its audience and content contributors. In meeting this critical need, the digital web producer will increase the World Vision brand value by driving up key site metrics.
The digital web producer will project manage site enhancements, clearly communicating project goals to vendors and negotiating deliverables and due dates.

This position will be a key influencer - championing best practices in content creation for external audiences, acting as an advisor, an editor and a mentor by providing user support, documenting and promoting best practice, and creating and enforcing governance guidelines.
The post-holder will collaborate with cross-functional teams, National Office and Ministry team leaders at all levels to enhance their understanding of the audience - engagement powers of wvi.org, proposing and designing innovative, cross-cutting engagement tactics for campaigns, launches and other global opportunities.
